WEDDING
The ceremony itself. Everything else exists to protect these few minutes.
The muhurtham is the only part of the day with a fixed time that cannot move. Every schedule is built backwards from it, and every contingency exists so that it starts when it is supposed to.
The mandap is designed to be seen from three sides and photographed from all of them, with sight lines kept clear for the families seated closest and the cameras that have to work around them.
Lighting here is the quietest work of the day: enough to record the ceremony properly, never so much that it becomes a stage set.
