The brightest, messiest, least formal hours of the whole wedding.
Haldi happens in daylight, outdoors, with turmeric going everywhere and nobody dressed to stay clean. Designing for it means accepting that — building for colour and laughter rather than for a formal photograph.
Marigold and jasmine, low seating, open shade, and surfaces that can take a stain. The palette runs warm and saturated because the light is flat and bright, and anything subtle simply disappears at eleven in the morning.
It is also the function where guests relax first, so it sets the temperature for everything that follows.
