SANGEET
A stage, a floor that lights up, and families who have been rehearsing for weeks.
Sangeet is a performance evening, and it needs to be produced like one. A stage at the right height, a sound system that carries to the back without deafening the front, and lighting that reads on camera as well as it does in the room.
The dance floor is the centre of it. An LED floor, a clear sight line from every table, and enough space for a group of twelve cousins who have been practising since the engagement.
Everything else — seating, bar, food — is arranged around keeping people facing the stage, then facing each other once the performances end.
